About
Hi, I'm Peter!
I'm a data engineer based in Seattle, Washington. I love building things, learning new technologies, and working on socially impactful projects. I play a lot of tennis and enjoy some stereotypical Pacific Northwest things like hiking with my dog. I'm also definitely not a web developer, so apologies for any rough edges on this site!
I'm currently a Staff Data Engineer at MissionWired, a digital agency that works with nonprofits, Democratic campaigns, and progressive and political organizations. I help build the data pipelines that power our fundraising models, raising millions of dollars for our clients every year. Previously I worked at Microsoft for four years, first as an applied data scientist working on internal projects and then as a software engineer on the Azure Search team.
I care deeply about social issues and causes — particularly climate change and education — and I try to use my engineering skills and experience to help where I can. I've volunteered with the Red Cross doing fundraising analytics and with the Northwest Energy Coalition on a variety of projects. If you know of any organizations in those fields that could use my help, please let me know!
If you've made it this far, you might be interested in my blog or some of the projects I've worked on. Thanks for stopping by!
